Positive: The hosts had left a lovely cake for us, some milk in the fridge and an informative info sheet. Hot tub was lovely, although we only used it once, the alpacas, goat/baby goat, sheep and hens all added to the experience with lovely views. An enjoyable experience and place to visit. I would recommend the lodge, well equipped and lovely inside.
Negative: Didn’t mind having to clean up after ourselves obviously, due to covid, but it was a little unnerving to think whoever cleaned up before us we didn’t know their care and hygiene touching pillows/quilts etc and felt the host wearing appropriate gloves mask etc would have been better. Though we stripped bedding etc with clean hands and wore masks I did sit on the bed to complete the task and although I know clean bedding would be put back on top anyone could have been coughing on my bedding before we arrived, and likewise for the next person. We also never saw the host even once, again not a problem especially in covid times but made it feel more impersonal and like an air b&b type experience so if you like that sort of thing no problems.
