These three wonderful holiday homes (refs UK41721, UK41723 and UK41730) can be found in an 18th-century private estate surrounded by picturesque countryside, yet just 8 miles from Manchester city centre.
Beautifully unique, they each offer a real home from home experience in a peaceful and tranquil location with excellent Wi-Fi.
The Stables (ref UK41730) boasts a farmhouse-style kitchen complete with AGA, and the most impressive beamed, vaulted ceiling in the first floor sitting room. Accommodating nine guests, it’s ideal for large families and low-key gatherings.
The Coach House Apartment (ref UK41723) has three bedrooms sleeping 5, is located on the first floor, and has the most amazing far-reaching views.
Finally, the Loft Penthouse (ref UK41721) can be found on the floor above The Coach House Apartment via a spiral staircase. It has an open-plan studio arrangement. Perfect for one person or a couple, again the panoramic views are simply outstanding.
You’ll find a multitude of walks available straight from the door across fields, towpaths and even a tarmacked disused railway line, making it a real doggy heaven! In the market town of Ashton-under-Lyne, with its seven-day market, you’ll find a wealth of amenities including supermarkets, bars and restaurants, together with the Portland Basin Museum. Nearby Daisy Nook Country Park is home to woodlands and wildflower meadows and has an excellent dog friendly cafe, and the spectacular Dovestone Reservoir is just 20 minutes away which backs onto the magnificent Peak District National Park where there is an RSPB reserve.
Nearby towns and villages include Uppermill, with its bustling high street full of restaurants, bars and swish cafés, and Stalybridge, where you’ll find the popular Stalybridge Country Park and Cheetham Park where there is another RSBP reserve. Venture into Manchester, a drive will take around 25 minutes or a direct train from Ashton-under-Lyne take just 10 minutes, the Metrolink tram will take just 20 minutes. There is also the Metrolink connecting you to the Trafford Centre, Media City and all main towns or Greater Manchester.
