Summary: A group of 10 of us rented the Carriage House for a “Friendsgiving” and we had the best time! The host promptly answered our questions and ensured that every step of our stay was seamless. When we arrived, we were all blown away! The pictures do not do the building justice. We were all surprised by how much bigger it is than the pictures suggest! Additionally, the host provided a breakfast for us for the following morning including homemade biscotti that was delicious!! Everything was immaculately clean. I travel a fair amount for business and stay in VRBO whenever possible and consistently, silverware or dishes are dirty. The carriage house was spotless. Since we were cooking a full thanksgiving meal, we all brought pans, knives, etc. that we did not use. The only thing we needed to use of ours was a crockpot. The kitchen is fully loaded with anything you’d possibly need to cook and entertain- there was even a Kitchen Aid and champagne glasses. We got lucky and were there for an unseasonably warm November weekend. Everyone loved having the patio right off the kitchen. It was a great area for those of us cooking because we were steps from the kitchen but could still sit outside. Those not cooking, watched football in the living room. I can’t remember the last time a rental had Cable! The guys were so excited! I personally stayed in the room with a king sized bed and it was very comfortable! Friends who stayed in the other rooms were also happy with their rooms. Everyone liked that there are individual bedroom keys so even traveling with a group, everyone had privacy. Last but not least, we loved the “small touches” that quickly made this rental feel like home. The art/ decor is gorgeous and takes you on a trip back in time to show what Glens Falls was like at the time the Carrige house was built. There is also a pillow spray in each room that was heavenly. The property manager makes them from scratch and even has some that you can purchase via venmo to take home with you. I don’t have a negative thing to say about our experience at Becky’s Carriage house. We have all already started talking about the next get together/ holiday we are coming back for!
