If you’re looking for a great day out, why not take a ride on La’al Ratty, a narrow gauge railway that is a must in this this part of the world taking you to the Roman port of Ravenglass. The nearest town, Whitehaven has all the usual supermarkets and branded stores for shopping as well as a good selection of restaurants, bars and cafés.
