Just outside Gambassi Terme, on the road to Volterra, is the estate, Gli Spilocchi. The property is set in a small borgo overlooking the Volterra hills, cloaked in typical Tuscan vegetation such as cypresses, oaks, chestnut and olive trees. Once past the entrance gate, you are welcomed by a well-kept garden adorned with multicoloured flowers and aromatic herbs, with the 6-bed Fienile (Barn) on the right and the 10-bed Casale (Farmhouse) on the left. The recently renovated Fienile is a classic Tuscan building in exposed stone with lively living areas in warm colours and welcoming bedrooms equipped with air conditioning. Twenty metres from the Fienile is the Casale with common living areas and bedrooms of a more classic flavour. In front of the property, set in a green lawn, is the gazebo with outdoor table and adjacent BBQ. In the centre is the panoramic swimming pool, with sunbeds and deckchairs for your relaxation. The portico of the Fienile completes the outdoor living area, making this property the perfect destination for family reunions or for large groups of friends wishing to spend a relaxing stay. Even the most sporty and adventurous travellers will not be disappointed, given the many sporting activities within reach, such as the most beautiful golf course in Tuscany with its 27 holes. From the panoramic terrace by the pool, as in a painting, you can admire a unique panorama while sampling a good Tuscan red wine and spending unique moments watching unforgettable sunsets. The location of the estate, a few kilometres from the provincial roads, allows you to quickly reach the main art centres of Tuscany such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Pisa, the characteristic villages of Volterrano and the Sienese Chianti, and the Tyrrhenian coast with Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia. For wellness fans, a short distance away is Gambassi Terme with thermal pools with water always at 32°C.
Interior:
Unit A "Casale": the entrance to the main house is on the side in front of the swimming pool. A few steps lead down to the kitchen with dining area. To the side of the fireplace are two arches leading to the large living room and sitting area with TV corner. Next to the living room is a large bathroom with shower. From the hallway, a staircase leads up to the first sleeping area, with a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds. From the entrance next to the kitchen another staircase leads up to the second sleeping area, with two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Unit B "Fienile": the access is adjacent to the entrance gate and leads to the large living area and guest bathroom. From the hall, stairs lead up to the sleeping area with two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. Air conditioning in rooms.
Park:
Gli Spilocchi is surrounded by a 1500 sq m garden, completely fenced and bordered along the perimeter by lush hedges to guarantee your privacy. Past the entrance gate and along a gravel drive lined with cypress trees, you come to the parking area, located in the immediate and convenient vicinity of the entrance to the two buildings. Leaving the house, you will find a garden completely covered by a lush lawn, with a beautiful, well-equipped swimming pool. Next to it is a shaded gazebo with outdoor table and adjacente BBQ. The outdoor living area unfolds under the shaded portico of the Fienile, ideal for moments of pure relaxation.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool set in the green lawn in the front of the two houses, in a panoramic area with a unique view of the rolling hills, is just a few metres from the entrance. Rectangular and measuring 5 x 8 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m, the pool is lined with sand-coloured PVC and surrounded by a travertine border and has chlorine purification, internal lighting and Roman steps in a recessed corner for access to the water. The travertine solarium surrounding the pool is equipped with comfortable sunbeds and deckchairs and shaded by umbrellas and trees. For your comfort, there is an external shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
Pets: Yes. € 50,00 per animal per week. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorized by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
