At the left and at the right of the harbour only few steps away are 2 sandy beaches with swallowing waters. It's extremely close to the airport (5 minutes) and only 15 minute drive to Fira, the beautiful capital of Santorini. Enjoy the tranquility, privacy and peace on the beachfront with easy access to the exquisite paradise locations in Santorini. Enjoy watching the sunrise from our amazing porch every morning and enjoy amazing local cousine all located in our beautiful neighbourhood. There is a bus station 80 meters from the house making it easy and cheap to move around. We are sure you will enjoy our summer home as much as we do.

Summary: The property was as presented except for the porch. The porch was lovely for sitting out and enjoying the breezes and the water views, but was quite tired compared to the picture in the listing. Stephanie was excellent assisting promptly with all questions. The space was roomy with a well equipped kitchen. It had a very comfortable king bed. The second bed was not comfortable nor was the couch for sitting or sleeping. The weekly maintenance was good but some areas could use extra attention. In spite of these few drawbacks we enjoyed our week and were sorry to have to leave. Monolithos, a very tiny hamlet was 5 min walk to a bus stop. The buses were coaches and very comfortable running about every two hours. The house was close to a convenience store and 4 restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. We found it wonderfully quiet and it was peaceful to be away from the crowds of Oia and Fira although nice that they could easily be visited. The beach, 5 minutes walk away was wonderful, swimmable and sandy and expansive for walking. We spent the majority of time outside on the porch and exploring the area by foot or bus. Although we did not rent a vehicle, the surrounding areas would be driveable, mostly being quiet country roads. We would not recommend driving in Fira or Oia unless you are courageous and young! It’s a dry and dusty landscape but with beautiful sea views. Amidst this beauty be prepared for litter everywhere a situation not exclusive to this area.
