Positive: I have stayed at this Aloft before, years ago, and I appreciate the design aesthetic. The decor has held up over the years.
Negative: Previously parking was included in the room rate. Now it is an additional $15 daily fee--be aware that this location is situated where you would expect the majority of guests to drive and require parking. Furthermore, the lobby bar--which used to serve a decent cocktail--was a real let down this time. The bartender was out of tonic water, so I had to make do with ginger ale, yet the cocktail itself was full bar price. Finally, I had to check out one day early. The room rate was non-refundable, but I requested the staff member at check out to ensure that I was not charged for the final night's parking. Despite this request, the extra parking charge appeared on my credit card, so the issue required yet another phone call to straighten out. Bottom line: if you are traveling to Mountain View, be aware there are MANY hotels in this quality and price range which offer better service and facilities.
