Welcome to your home away from home in Cherry Hill. This century-old fisherman’s house sits on an acre of land a short distance from some of Nova Scotia’s most scenic beaches. It has 5 bedrooms; 1 bath; a large, bright sitting room & compact (well-equipped) kitchen. Its scenic back yard has trails winding through lush gardens, a small fenced pond with waterfall, a fire pit, kids’ zipline & swing. Jul-Aug 6-night min, check-in Sun or Mon only. Rest of year 3-night min, check-in/out any day.

This is a real family cottage, not staged perfection. But it's perfect in its own way. There are few things nicer than drinking a hot coffee on the front porch with the morning sun streaming over you, listening to the waves crash across the road. In summer, it is breezy and casual, with kids' toys and activities tucked away, a trampoline, zipline and swings in the yard. In winter, it is cozy and quiet, with a woodstove and many nooks to curl up in with a good book. Little details are sure to stand out, like the hidden stairway from the kitchen to a back bedroom, and the unique and antique decor.

Guests have the whole house and property to themselves. There is no water access from the home but a 1-minute walk brings you to a rocky shore and a 10-minute walk/1-minute drive brings you to Cherry Hill Beach.

Accessibility: there are 1-2 steps at every entrance, and many of the doorways are not wider than 30". The shower is not barrier-free--it requires a step into a tub. However, there is one main-floor bedroom and the bathroom and kitchen are also on the main floor. Thus, the cottage is suitable for guests who can take 1 or 2 stairs but not entire flights of stairs.
