Positive: The location was great. Quiet street, own pier, easy walk to the beach. Beautiful beaches were in easy reach by car. We liked the fact that we had a house to ourselves, a fully equipped kitchen was very useful. Evenings on the sofa, reading a book or watching TV. Appreciated the washing machine as well as the dryer. We liked the hot tub.
Negative: Cleaning seems to be an issue. I think the lower floor was not cleaned at at (carpet on the stairs). Living room behind the sofa has not been vacuumed since month or years. Can was left under the bed in one of the upper bedrooms. In all bedrooms, carpets next to drawer was not vacuumed at all. Vacasa, you should look at this more closely. Concerning the house. I was going in there open eyed already when I booked it, as it was not my style at all, but I was not able to find something better for 4 nights, or it would have been even more expensive. As it seems the place was acquired in 2020. Sofa seems to have a new cover but is completely worn out. Kitchen was painted but is completely outdated. As an interior designer it is hard to understand, how you can acquire such a great place and make so little out of it. You don't need a Fixer & Upper here, but at least take the old carpets out (the look really filthy to me), get new flooring (hardwood, as it is much easier to clean) as well as a new kitchen and bathroom. You earn 3'000 USD a week, that should help pay some of the upkeep. Furthermore, please change the windows, you are going to have a serious problem with humidity if you don't change them soon. We liked our stay, but there could have been much more value for the money.
