- WHO WE ARE -
Hello everyone, we are two Florentine brothers Mario and Alessio.
Together we decided to renovate the house where we spent all our childhood and adolescence and make it a bed and breakfast full of comfort and charm, just the homes of the past. To help Mario and Alessio manage the structure every day and the guests to feel at home will be Serafina (sister and wife).
The current home, charming and enchanting, was once annexed to the Villa Corsini and in the seventies it was renovated with taste, love and respect by Alfredo and Simonetta, our parents.
Afterwards we decided this year to make a second renovation of the house without bringing upsetting but respecting and keeping unchanged, like our parents did, the originality and style of the house while making a necessary efficiency of the facilities and a modernization of the structures so as to be able to host in an extremely comfortable way who has the curiosity and the desire to stay in our .... B & B Palazzi!
- PRESENTATION OF THE STRUCTURE -
B & B Palazzi is located in the Castle area in Florence in a house of 1400, of historical and artistic interest, fascinating and romantic, located at the foot of Mount Morello, in an area of high landscape value for the presence of the magnificent Medici Villas (Reale di Castello , Reale di Careggi, della Petraia e Corsini), recently recognized and recognized (June 23, 2013) Unesco world heritage and surrounded by the splendid setting of the Florentine hills and Monte Morello, rich in hiking trails surrounded by greenery.
The structure is far from the chaotic and convulsive urban traffic, from the cemented outskirts, in a place able to make you relax and spend an unforgettable stay in the green in the city of Florence, immersed in the typical tranquility and quietness of the small urban villages while finding yourself in the city.
- ROOMS -
The house has four large and bright rooms. The Royal room is the most beautiful and elegant, has a bathroom and two large windows, one overlooking the garden overlooking the Medici villa of Petraia and the hills of Monte Morello and one on the private dirt road that leads to the Villa Corsini. The room is furnished with Venetian style furniture. The Corsini room has a private bathroom and exclusive source place at the entrance door and is a fresh and nice room with two single beds that can be joined if necessary to become a double bed. It has a large window overlooking the ancient and silent street, narrowed by old stone walls, which leads to the Unesco heritage villas and from which you can clearly see the coat of arms of the Corsini family of the Medici family. The Petraia room is a romantic and friendly room with a double bed and a single bed and with a large French window overlooking the Villa Petraia, Mount Morello and the garden of the house. The Quiete Room is a passionate bedroom with a double bed and a window overlooking Mount Morello and the garden of the house. These last two bedrooms have a shared bathroom.
The four rooms are equipped with all the main amenities: 32 '' Smart TV, Wi-Fi ultra-fast fiber internet, air conditioning, organic courtesy set, bath towel and towels, luggage racks, additional bed for children up to years 5, use of ironing board and iron, use of laptop for internet browsing, luggage storage, parking, kitchen use on request, relaxation room for reading and board games, use of the garden with barbecue.
They are available to guests free of charge, with deposit from € 50.00 to € 100.00 depending on the model of bicycle chosen, walking or mountain bike, both for men and women, maintained and equipped with lights, padlocks and chains. It will also be possible to rent on-site e-bikes, carry out maintenance work at our workshop (the facility adheres to the FIAB "Albergabici" cycle touring circuit), set up a guide for excursions with various itineraries to be decided. Daily cleaning service is provided in the rooms (linen is changed after the third day).
In addition, some services are provided for a fee: extra bed at the request of the customer: € 25.00, bar fridge (prices are shown in a special list in each room), laundry and ironing (for personal linen; price to be agreed in based on quantity and weight) and access to Netflix-type Pay TV.
- MAIN PLACES OF ARTISTIC HISTORICAL INTEREST -
The most important Medici villas located near the structure:
Villa Di Castello (or Villa Reale Di Castello) restored by Vasari and surrounded by a magnificent garden designed by Tribolo, home to the Accademia della Crusca and the Italian Vocabulary Opera;
Villa Della Petraia considered, not wrongly, one of the jewels of the city of the lily, for the excellence of its precious pictorial decorations, the period furnishings and for its happy position in the landscape;
Villa Corsini, a beautiful villa built in the Baroque period of which our bed and breakfast was an annex;
Villa Reale Di Careggi 10 minutes by car (3 km), acquired by doctors in the first half of the fifteenth century and renovated by Michelozzo for Cosimo Il Vecchio, who died here in 1464.
The area is also rich in other important historical-architectural presences: Villa Il Pozzino, Villa La Quiete and the most famous Villa Del Bel Riposo, where for a long time lived, hosted by his brother, the writer Carlo Lorenzini called "Collodi", who certainly took inspiration from these places and its inhabitants, for the drafting of his literary work-masterpiece "Pinocchio", whose adventures have been translated into many languages and known all over the world. The City of Florence has placed in his honor a commemorative plaque on April 27, 2007, at the entrance of the villa, now a private residence.
Since 1974, the famous Accademia della Crusca has been located at the Villa Medicea di Castello. It is an Italian institution that gathers scholars and linguistic and philological experts of the Italian language and is therefore one of the most prestigious linguistic institutions in Italy and in the world.
Castello is also the town of Florence where the great Florentine poet Mario Luzi was born, who in the cemetery of the local church of S. Michele a Castello has returned for eternal rest.

Although the B & B is located in a quiet and out of the chaos and traffic jams, from our house you can reach the bus stop ATAF SESTESE 2 (Line 28 and 2) in the direction of Firenze Centro in just a few minutes. minutes connects to the TRAMVIA in Dalmatia and from there very soon it will lead you to the center of Florence (information and tickets to be used on BUS and TRAMVIA will be provided).
The location of the B & B Palazzi, as already mentioned, is undoubtedly convenient and strategic because, in addition to being well connected with the city center, allows you to easily reach the surrounding Medici villas in a few minutes on foot and make suggestive bike tours also towards the top of monte morello using the bicycles made available by our structure.
