Perched within the trees, this amazing semi-waterfront cabin has been restored with care and awaits our guests to come make your vacation dreams a reality. Decompress and enjoy the spectacular view of Shuswap Lake off the 2 large decks, get lost in the beautiful wall of green from the loft, or take a dip in the lake just across the road. If you're lucky, our resident eagle will join you for your morning coffee! This cabin is at the center of all the fun, as you are just minutes from the Celista Market in the summer, and you're also less than 10 minutes away from the staging area of one of the best sledding mountains around - Crowfoot Mountain!
Have a boat? Perfect... there is access to a private boat launch. There is also a private Buoy you'll have direct access to and a peaceful beach. Plenty of space at the Cabin driveway to park your boat trailer!
No boat, but still want to get out on the water? The Cabin comes equipped with 2 inflatable paddle boards. Takes a bit of pumping but the payoff is great!
This unique and tranquil A-frame Cabin has 3 beautiful bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping 6 people comfortably. The loft has an open and airy layout, with a cozy queen bed and your own little sitting area overlooking the lake. The main floor is where your group can gather in the kitchen and living room for some socializing and cook up some good eats, gather around the wood-burning fireplace and step out onto the deck to chill at the patio. The main bathroom with a shower, is also located on the main floor. Off the side entrance of the Cabin is stairs that lead to your other 2 rooms. This lower level has its own separate entrance with one private bedroom that has a queen bed, a set of single bunks in the main area and a bathroom with standing shower.
MOBILITY - please note* The house is built on a hill that offers fantastic views of the lake, however, this does mean that there is a lot of stairs to climb to access the Cabin. Those with mobility concerns may have difficulty entering and exiting the Cabin.
All bedding, bath towels and everyday consumables provided for comfort and convenience! The kitchen is generously set up with all supplies needed to allow you to cook a meal for your family. Supplies we provide are BBQ propane, toilet paper, roll of paper towel, garbage bags, dish and hand soap, laundry soap and fabric sheets, dish scrubber, cleaner, coffee and filters, tea, sugar, flour, cooking oil, foil, food wrap and some common cooking spices.
LOCATION & LOCAL AMENITIES - The Cabin on the Cove is only a short 5-6 minute drive away to Shuswap Lake Provincial Park and Captains Village Marina. The Provincial Park offers a big sandy beach with washrooms, picnic areas, walking trails, playground, kayak rentals and boat launch. Captains Village Marina offers a store, boat moorage, boat launch and and a variety of watercraft rentals and supplies. There is a great Pub close by - The Scotch Creek Hub, that serves amazing food, Ice cream shack, great service and holds live entertainment events on the weekends in high season. Just next to The Hub is the Family Fun Centre!! Mini Golf, Bowling, Arcade Games, Bikes, Carnival Food/ drinks and lots of fun promised here! You will find a big Grocery store, Hardware store, Drug Store, local Library, Paradise Pizza, Food truck, shops and more! We are central to many other activities such as fishing, hiking trails, golfing, guided tours at Adams River Rafting, Celista Winery, Sock-eye Salmon Run in the Fall, Evelyn Falls, Albas Falls and of course...Shuswap Lake! Jump on the boat and take a cruise to the Floating store and Pub in the Narrows, a trip to Copper Island or even the Rope Swing!
SLEDDING - Crowfoot Mountain is one of BCs best kept Sledding destinations! Beautiful 20sq kilometers of back country riding with amazing views of the Shuswap Valley. Vast riding area with alpine and subalpine regions offering riding for all skill levels, intermediate to expert. 28km of marked, groomed and un-groomed trails with 3 day-use chalets. Elevation ranges from 1200m-2250m with an average snowfall of 14ft. This Vacation Rental is less than 10 minutes to the Crowfoot Staging Area! Other mountains in the area include Blue Lake Mountain, Eagle Pass, Fly Hills, Owlhead Mountain, Queest Mountain, and Spa Hills.
