Welcome to our little slice of paradise, "Unexpected Gem".
It has been our dream to own a lake house since I was a young child and we are really excited to now be able to share that with you. After a nearly 2 year search we have found the perfect spot!
The house and lot across the street are sitting on nearly half an acre total to give family/friends plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy your stay.
We have a large parking area that can accommodate multiple vehicles plus ample room for boat trailers.
The subdivision has a private boat ramp that guests will be allowed to access.
When arriving at “Unexpected Gem” guest will walk into the main door into the open concept Kitchen/living area. The first thing that cannot be missed is the wall of windows overlooking the Beautiful and highly sought after Colorado arm of lake LBJ. ***NO canals here, we are on the main body!***
You are entering a well appointed kitchen with large island/bar. Our goal is to provide everything needed other than food to prepare anything the heart desires.
Off of the kitchen you will find the laundry room and the first bathroom.
There you will find a brand new set of Maytag commercial HE washer and dryers.
The bathroom is appointed with a Large walk in shower , and nice sink area with plenty of available storage. Sink area is separate from toilet and shower so multiple people can use the space at one time.
Continuing in you will walk into the living room outfitted with a large sectional and an additional couch for plenty of seating. There is a 65” smart tv positioned nicely in the seating area.
The three guest rooms are off the living room and each have their own design flair. All rooms have just received new memory foam mattress with your comfort in mind.
The guest room with 2 twins ( Twin bed with trundle) does not have a door, rather an arched cased opening but includes a lovely seating area. Like the living room, this room has a wall of windows with arguably the best views in the whole house.
On the opposite side of the living room you will find your Master Suites. It is appointed with a temperpedic mattress and a lovely bedroom set with storage galore. There is a 55” tv with firestick so you are able to keep up with your favorite shows or movies. Moving through the room you will walk into a large master bath with private toilet. You will notice a large jetted tub and separate walk in shower, as well as a large dual sink vanity with plenty of room for anything you can imagine. The final shinning point of the master is the large walk in closet that can hold more clothes than you can pack. It provides ample room for changing and spreading out your garments to pick the special piece for your day.
The Best for last!
When you exit the rear of the house you will be welcomed onto a large back porch with large outdoor dinning set and Kamado style grill/smoker. You will be treated with multiple 100+ feet tall pecan trees that provide ample shade all afternoon during the hottest part of the day.
A concrete sidewalk with a series of steps leads you down to new all concrete dock with 2 boat slips available for use. Both slips are equipped with electric lifts to get your boat free and clear of the water. Please include you boat type on the booking, we will try to accommodate as many boats as possible, but please understand we have to follow lift capacity guidelines. On the second story of the dock you will find a 40x40 patio that is 1/2 covered with multiple loungers and an outdoor table to enjoy meals. There is also a couch with 2 rocker chairs and large propane fire pit on top to enjoy those cool evenings.
One thing you will notice is our dock sticks out further than any other so you have unobstructed views in both directions!!! There is a jumping platform secured with a gate on the top deck, jump at you own risk, that is well over 12’ up. Jumping you will enter the clean cool lake LBJ water in nearly 25’ of water. We are blessed to be on some of the deepest water in the area and do not have any grass issues in the water that many of the houses are suffering from. No worries of hitting bottom here with your boats!
Since we are in deep water swimming is great all summer and one unique thing offered here is a swimming platform approximately 3’ down on the north side of the property. There is an underwater concrete slab where multiple people can gather and enjoy the water while not having to exert yourself swimming. The platform also provides easy access to the stairs to egress from the lake. Along with the rental you will find an array of lake toys to enjoy.
Currently we have a Lilly pad and multiple kayaks for guest to enjoy included with your stay.
