A superb 3 bedroom detached bungalow in a quiet residential area at the base of Holyhead mountain in the North West coast of Anglesey.
Decorated in a modern style. The property offers a comfortable lounge area with a large flat-screen TV. Guests can benefit from a modern fitted kitchen and dining area and access to the private rear garden with views of surrounding countryside.
The property is set in a perfect location to explore the Island, located just 1 mile from South Stack Lighthouse and the walking trails of the headland, it is one of Anglesey’s must-see landscapes. It is located on Holy Island, and is Anglesey’s most westerly point, lying some 3 miles to the west of Holyhead. The cliffs at South Stack support large colonies of seabirds. It is possible to observe them from the RSPB’s Ellin’s Tower observatory. The reserve also has a visitor centre and a café with plenty of parking. Summary: Good location and nice property. Lovely big garden. Just a couple of issues though. We booked this specifically as it said enclosed garden. When we arrived the gates were missing and there was a note inside apologising saying the were being fixed. I know these things happen but annoying when you searched for a property based on an enclosed garden as had two 4 year olds so wanted to know they were safe and contained. The other problem was one of the bedrooms. The curtains were a very light material so no blackout whatsoever, this would be bad enough but they didn’t actually fit the window! When the curtains were closed there was a gap of at least a foot down each side of the curtains. This meant that the room was ridiculously light from about 4am and also there was no privacy when trying to get ready in that room, especially when someone was mowing the lawn right next to the window. Such a little thing to get correctly fitting curtains or perhaps a blackout blind but would have made a huge difference.
