Positive: Such a beautifully maintained and preserved home that really took me back to the “beach stays of my childhood” before everything was modern and uniform. I loved seeing the details of how the family decorated.
Negative: The house had a severely strong odor of urine when we arrived and there was glade plug ins placed inside that I only assume was to try and cover the urine smell. The combination of urine odor and glade plugin was so nauseating. We ended up opening all the windows and doors and it only took about 24 hours for the smell to die down to a tolerable level. If it had stayed so overwhelming the entire trip we may have asked to leave but thankfully it did not because overall we enjoyed our time. I suspect this may have been an issue from the people who were there before us, not sure…. Since it did “die down” I’m guessing this isn’t a chronic stench.
