Positive: It was average. Would I stay there again? Not if I had another acceptable option. I’d rather stay at a hotel. See below.
Negative: The check-in process was strange and not open and welcoming because I didn’t receive communications from the hosts to assure me that my stay was ready for me. The proprietor is not a native English speaker and very difficult to communicate with over the phone. The bed was comfortable enough but it came with polyester blend sheets, not cotton, and tho there were through pillows on the bed, there were only only two sleeping pillows. They were each covered with only one pillow case, which left the pillow itself showing on the end. Two cases wrapping a pillow in opposite directions is better. There was also limited head room because the room is in a basement. I’m 6’4” and felt like I had to duck to navigate the cramped quarters safely. The entrance to the apartment also had a funky odor and weird hair on the inside doormat. Could’ve been pet hair, but not sure.
