This Santa Fe sanctuary welcomes you. Purported to be one of the last homes in Santa Fe designed by John Gaw Meem IV*, situated on 5 acres, the property captures spectacular sunsets and features splendid mountain views during the day and is adjacent to the Sun and Moon Mountain hiking trails with protected open space. Main house and separate guest house interiors provide for spacious living but one could easily spend most of their time outdoors; just steps away, a heated pool situated in a natural meadow with cabana, enclosed vegetable garden, and landscaped gardens are ready to be enjoyed!
The primary suite of the main house features a tub/shower combo, a commode, and bidet, and tremendous storage spaces with three closets. Down the hall, the cozy bedroom or office space sits with full bathroom. The portal features a fireplace and views of the western Jemez Mountains, perfect for a hammock or easy chairs to enjoy the Santa Fe skies at any time of day. Further on, the abundant space of the kitchen can easily house several cooks for family dinner or just one with a plethora of accoutrement.
The guest house sits not much more than an arm’s reach away from the main building and the breezeway between them captures sweeping southwest vistas. Approximately 3,000 total square footage, main house roughly 2,400sqft, 4 fireplaces, forced air heating, garage for 2 vehicles, gated compound for privacy and serenity are just a few of the standout amenities of this fine property for you to enjoy.
*John Gaw Meem IV (November 17, 1894 – August 4, 1983) was an American architect based in Santa Fe, NM. He is best known for his instrumental role in the development and popularization of the Pueblo Revival Style and as a proponent of architectural regionalism in the face of international modernism. Meem is regarded as one of the most important and influential architects to have worked in New Mexico and is widely known for designing Los Poblanos and La Quinta in Albuquerque. Meem also was a publisher of the Historic Design Review Guide still used today by the Historic Design Review Committee preserving Santa Fe’s unique architectural style and history.
