Our Spanish Home is set on a hill overlooking the Polo Fields and the rolling hills of the Sonoma countryside. With a pool, open concept kitchen, living and dining room, and scenic outdoor spaces, this is an ideal home for gathering friends and family. This listing is for the entire property, the Hacienda, the Hillside unit, and the Casita.
Due to the uniqueness of our property, we strongly encourage interested groups to send an inquiry to discuss trip details BEFORE requesting to book to ensure the booking is a good fit for both parties. If no contact or response is made by the guest after the initial booking request to confirm plans, we will cancel the booking until the guest's plans are confirmed to ensure a good fit.
The Hacienda, the main house, has a master bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a loft with 2 twin beds along with 1 bathroom. There are two (2) A/C units in the Hacienda only. Hillside and Casita have tower fans only.
The Hillside unit has an additional three bedrooms. Two rooms have queen beds and the third room has a twin-size bunk bed (one side is a walkthrough w/no door). There is a bathroom with a shower, two (2) vanity areas, and a toilet. There is also a nice sitting with a countertop but no kitchen. The hillside unit is adjacent to the Hacienda and is accessible from this main house. There is also a separate entrance to the Hillside unit. The Hillside has base heaters and tower fans to help keep it cool, there is no A/C. The Hillside sleeps 6 comfortably.
The Casita is the third unit on the property. It is below the main house and has a separate entrance as well. This Casita has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a bathroom along with a small kitchenette and living area. The Casita has base heaters and tower fans to help keep it cool, there is no A/C. The Casita sleeps 4 comfortably.
The Hacienda is one house that sleeps 16 people in 8 rooms spread throughout 3 adjoining buildings with separate entrances. In total, we have 1 king bed, 5 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and one twin bunk bed.
The outdoor patio and pool are a great place to grill, enjoy a glass of wine and take in the views of Petaluma's rolling hills.
Guests have access to the entire property which includes the main Hacienda house, The Hillside unit, and the Casita, which consists of 8 bedrooms with 10 beds, 3.5 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. Guests have access to both the outside dining and Charbroil 6-burner gas BBQ along with complete access to the pool anytime while staying respectful of Sonoma County quiet hours from 10 pm until 7 am. Total occupancy is 16 guests.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
*We do not allow parties, events, or weddings on the property.
*We do not allow guests outside the number stated in the reservation without prior consent.
*There are sleeping accommodations for 16 guests when beds are shared as described in the listing.-Extra guests are approved on a case-by-case basis. There is an additional $50 charge per guest, per night or day after the 16th guest, and is allowed with WRITTEN APPROVAL ONLY.
*We do not accept pets at the Hacienda
*We are on filtered well water at a ranch with horses. As a working horse ranch, we must ask that you CONSERVE water. If there are any issues with water during your stay contact us immediately and we will resolve the problem.
*We supply 5gal bottled drinking water for guest consumption.
*There is A/C in the Hacienda only, the main house. The other 2 adjoining units have tower fans to keep things cool, but no A/C.
*Wi-Fi is available at ea House. The Wi-Fi is consistent and we have 15Mb/s download and 3Mb/s upload speeds. We do not guarantee Wi-Fi at all times
*There is no cell service without connecting to our WiFi
*There is a smart TV with HDMI hook up & we provide a Netflix account for guest use.
*There is a Charbroil Gas BBQ available for use, guests are responsible to clean up after each use. If excess messiness/grease is found, a fee will apply.
*There is an indoor fireplace that does best with "Duralog" style logs.
Check for “No burn days” and Red flag days before starting fires.
*The pool has solar heating, piping that heats the water as it runs through the filter. The pool will be “winterized” usually in mid-Oct and the heating stays off until around March/April. If you book a visit during those winter months you are welcome to use the pool however it would NOT be heated during your stay.
*There is no lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised at all times. Swim at your own risk.
*Since we are on a horse ranch there are flies and other insects. Please understand that flies are in and around the house. Also, bees, ticks, and other insects outside the house are common. This varies depending on the time of year. Also keeping screen doors closed helps immensely. We leave fly tape and a swatter to help and we have monthly pest control in place. Please understand we cannot control the insects.
*While on the property and before leaving, general tick checks are highly encouraging.
**Another detail to point out is that once you enter the property you have entered a private road shared by multiple owners. You MUST drive slowly ~10 miles an hour & you MUST yield to pedestrians or horses by stopping & giving them the right of way.
