This home is the perfect mountain getaway for a family or a group of friends. The home is in an upscale gated community on a quiet wooded lot. It boasts three decks, a screened-in porch, a wood-burning fireplace, and all the comforts of home. If you're looking for a peaceful vacation surrounded by natural beauty and abundant outdoor recreation activities, this is the place for you.
This home has an updated eat-in kitchen, with newer appliances and everything you need to cook at home, as well as a built-in window bench seat. A newer queen-size memory foam mattress is in the master bedroom, which is on the main floor. The master bedroom leads to the back decks through French doors, as well as to a screened-in side porch with five rocking chairs. The living room is spacious and comfortable, with newer upholstered furniture and a spectacular floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Two bedrooms are upstairs with two newer twin-size mattresses in each. The twin beds in one bedroom can be pushed together and set up as a king-size bed if requested ahead of time. All bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans, and all rooms have air conditioning and heating vents. This home has two bathrooms, one in the upstairs hallway, and one in the main level hallway. The upstairs bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination, and the main level bathroom has a shower only. Washer and dryer are available in the basement.
The house is surrounded by mountain laurels, rhododendrons, and native trees on all sides. Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy spring in full-bloom, or the vibrant colors of fall in the mountains, which is truly spectacular. Frequent visitors include deer and the legendary white squirrels of Transylvania County.
Please note: Owner comes to the home periodically during regular business hours to use a basement level home office with a separate entrance and separate locked-off space. Owner will not disturb tenants in order to enter and use the home office.

Nearby outdoor recreation is abundant, including world-class hiking, cycling, kayaking, and fishing. Nearby attractions include Dupont State Park (10 minutes away), Pisgah National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Sliding Rock, Gorges State Park, and the Cradle of Forestry, all within 30 minutes. Flatrock Playhouse, the Carl Sandburg home, Hendersonville, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are within 45 minutes to an hour. There are many nearby scenic drives to waterfalls and beautiful mountain views, and to charming mountain towns with shops that feature goods from local artists and Appalachian crafts. The world class Brevard Music Center hosts outdoor concerts in the warmer months, including numerous free concerts by students and faculty of the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute.

The entrance to the front door is only three steps up from the driveway, and there is room for four vehicles to park.
