This cheerful cottage sits 16 miles south of downtown Fredericksburg's historic buildings and wonderful tasting rooms, on a classic piece of Hill Country property that it shares with the homes of the owner and one long-term renter. You'll be three miles east of Old Tunnel State Park, where you can hike, bird watch, and learn about the three million Mexican free-tailed bats that make their home in the tunnel. There are also a few restaurants nearby, including Alamo Springs Café (three miles west) and Bankersmith BBQ within a 10-minute drive.
