Lakefront home is newly renovated and impeccably designed for elegant and comfortable living. Located on a semi-private lake (swim, kayak!), large windows provide lake views throughout. Secluded on 7 acres.
The soaring ceiling living room and fireplace lead to the gracious dining area and chefs kitchen area with fireplace. With 5 bedrooms (4 with their own private decks), 5.5 baths, a media room, and 5 fireplaces, it's ideal for entertaining or family visits.
The boathouse completes the peaceful tranquil setting (with tandem kayak, solo kayak, and solar-powered speedboat) and a spacious wifi-enabled workout shed is equipped with what you need to stay fit (Peloton, cable system). Or stay fit running down the winding country roads or hiking one of the many nearby trails.
Conveniently located 2 miles from the Taconic State Parkway, minutes from the Omega Institute, so close to Rhinebeck, Millbrook, and Millerton, easily reached by MetroNorth (Wassaic) and Amtrak (Rhinecliff). Or a 1h35m (non rush hour) drive from the Upper East/West Side.
Located in the heart of the enchanting Hudson Valley, a foodie’s paradise replete with many farm-to-table restaurants and the world renowned Culinary Institute of America, alongside an abundance of outdoors opportunities, cultural attractions, and shopping villages. An easy drive to the Berkshires and Litchfield, CT areas.

Bedroom C is one master bedroom, with full-length windows overlooking the lake, king-sized bed, and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and steam shower, private deck
Bedroom D a second master with a king-sized bed, fireplace, large bathroom with whirlpool tub, and private deck
Both bedrooms have radiator-heated floors.
Bedroom E has a queen-sized bed and full bathroom.
Full crib is available upon request.
Across from the house is a brand new gym with a peloton
House has been professionally child proofed
Excellent WIFI and cable TV. (Also a landline.)
Cleaner comes every week, local caretaker on call .
Renter pays utilities (including electric, propane, wireless/cable/phone) plus weekly cleaner/trash removal during stay.
NOTE: There is an automatic standby generator available if there is a blackout in the local area.

Summary: Our three-generation family had a wonderful and restful time at Suzen's home! The house is elegant and chic without being stuffy, and it is very comfortable and cozy. It's spacious and has everything you can possibly need (luxurious linens, fast wifi, outdoor grill, lots of games for adults and kids, etc.). For our young son, we appreciated that the house is baby-proofed and has a crib, and he loved the swings/playground. :) Because it was winter we didn't get to use the kayaks or speedboat but the lake views from the rooms are breathtaking and we lounged on the huge porch and also in the Adirondack chairs along the lake. The house is also perfectly located right near the Taconic Parkway and close to some fantastic towns, restaurants, and sites. We didn't get to meet Suzen in person but communication was easy, she left a great guide to the area, and her caretaker came to check on us. We definitely look forward to returning to this part of the Hudson Valley and hope we can stay at this beautiful house again.
