Please note we do minimum weekly rentals with check in and check outs on FRIDAYS! Fishing opener through Memorial weekend or Labor Day weekend and later we will accept shorter 3-4 day rentals.
A 2 bedroom with full kitchen, living room, sun porch, and bathroom frame this absolute charming little cabin rests mere feet from the waters edge. Nestled at the very end of a dead end road encompassing an entire 1.1 acre peninsula is our gem. Your view is of unspoiled DNR land in every direction. Only a handful of cabins are privileged enough to sit on 350 acre 35ft deep crystal clear spring fed Crane Lake which is a part of the world famous Chip Flowage! How does hard sand swimming frontage with perfect water sound to relax and play with the kids yet also offer the ability to stand on the dock or peninsula tip and catch fish all day long!? Or a fire pit ready for s’mores right on the waters edge with cedar chairs to relax in! How about the privacy of those few cabins otherwise allowing you to stroll across the lake to a beautiful sand point for a different spot to enjoy lunch, swim, and fish. You can waterski, tube, and jet ski safely on our lake as the middle portion is hazard free. When you are done exploring Crane lake head down the mile long Crane Creek and into the 17,000 acre Chip Flowage!
Our little cabin has been completely remodeled with tongue and groove. It is perfect for a family or 4-5 adults allowing you the opportunities to make wonderful memories. Since we use it ourselves it is ready to go. It has a full kitchen with all you need to cook meals. We have a gas grill outside and a grate to cook over the fire if desired. The bathroom has a shower and washer and dryer. The two bedrooms are side by side on the main level offering a full bed for a couple and the other offering a twin over full bunk bed. There is a hammock to rest in. We have three docks and two you can keep boats on or pull up on the beach. Enjoy the quietness of your own peninsula with walking trails to explore. 675 feet of shoreline make this a unique and personal experience. Next to the cabin is level elevation and a small south facing sandy beach area where your kids can play and walk right out into the lake. Working your way down the point on the south side it's all sand with nice elevation for views. The point is sand and rock with a great weed-line to throw lures at. On the north side of the point is another dock in a big bay where it's nice a weedy for the fish to wait for your line. There is a window AC unit(if needed) and large fans to cool you down if not enough breeze off the lake. This is our getaway so we choose to have no tv however we do have Internet. One can head down the road to one of the multiple resorts or restaurants for a burger, fish fry, or delicious pizza most evenings!
We have five kayaks, swim raft, and plenty of kids games like bocce ball, ladder golf, bags, and horseshoes to keep you busy. Only 10 minutes to the casino, 20 minutes to downtown Hayward you are close to everything. There are plenty of places to boat to and eat on the flowage. One of the best breakfast joints in Wisconsin is minutes away. 100's of islands to explore or camp on, and thousands of acres of water to fish and sight see. This is your Canadian wilderness without the drive.
There is parking for your boat trailer and and cars. The dnr boat launch is a short drive away as is a great bait shop. Bring your own beach towels, fishing gear, and life jackets etc. Check in is Friday at 3pm and check out is the following Friday at 9am. Before Memorial Day or after Labor day we will consider shorter 3-4 day stays depending on the timing. Please note we shut the water off for the cold months so we don’t rent it late Oct thru beginning of May. We ask you leave our slice of heaven cleaner than when you arrived. To access our point you have to drive through private property. We ask everyone drive at a snails pace out of respect for our neighbors.
NO PETS, NO FIREWORKS, and NO SMOKING on or in our property. This is non negotiable. If you smoke please find another rental. No additional guests unless approved previously. No campers. This is not a party area and we don't want guests looking to stay up all night long howling at the moon. There are plenty of other rental cabins in Hayward who will accommodate that lifestyle. This is a family cabin with neighbors who appreciate solitude and quietness just as we do. No exceptions!
Due to COVID please bring your own linens, sleeping bags, pillows, and towels. We ensure our property is cleaned, disinfected, and wiped down after each family departs.
