Your family will love our charming "Barrington Cottage", a 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath family home w/water access, outdoor shower, bluestone terrace, hot tub, firepit & BBQ! Bunkhouse with loft that's the perfect hang-out: smart TV, Alexa, mini-fridge, heat/AC and sleeping areas for three. 20 min. to Bristol, 12 min. to Providence, 40 min. to beaches and Newport. Gourmet kitchen, creative and coastal decor, lovely gathering spaces, cozy living room & fireplace, central AC. Fenced yard and pet-friendly! New for 2023, a Peleton for your use!
A fun-filled family home with sunporch and river view, open floor plan, gourmet kitchen and fantastic outdoor firepit & BBQ area. Cozy and comfortable bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and outdoor shower. Magical and fenced-in backyard with bunkhouse, swing, twinkle lights, and hot tub! Use our double kayak and two single kayaks for the river (great fishing off the bridge, too!) and bring (or rent) bikes for the East Bay bike path which is nearby. Barrington is a coastal small town 12 minutes from Providence, and close to Bristol (14 minutes) and Newport (40 minutes). On summer weekends, the high-speed Providence to Newport ferry makes a stop in Bristol, making for a fun way to visit multiple towns during your stay. The artsy, funky town of Warren is just 5 minutes away by car and is a fun destination for dining, shopping, and walking or biking.
Guests have access to the entire home and yard spaces (we will not be in residence when we have guests). While the trampoline raft is ours, the waterfront area is a shared space for our street. Use of the docks is not allowed. We ask that you respect our neighbors’ privacy by not walking across their lawns or parking in front of their homes. This is important and allows us to continue to offer our home for stays.
Our cleaning service is experienced with all of the new Covid protocols. Because it is our family home and not a rental property, we are being extra diligent in this area for your and our protection. Our service will be using special disinfectant and will be implementing extra sanitizing protocols (such as cleaning all surfaces and door handles). Typically we offer an early check-in and will continue to do so when possible, but the cleaning process does take much longer. Our household is fully vaccinated and while I love to personally greet each guest, the option is yours if you would prefer to have direct access without the house "tour".
Guests will be asked to sign a standard waiver form to use the trampoline raft.
We prefer that guests have previous VRBO or house rental experience and positive profile reviews. This is our family home, so our belongings will be present. (Clothing, books, games, toiletries, kitchen items and provisions, etc.) You will be using our home as your own! Think of it as staying in your best friend’s house when she’s away...our motto is “There are no strangers in this world...only friends we haven’t met yet!”
