What a great opportunity for guests to say together, while still maintaining a bit of privacy with 2 homes to stay in !! We do require a 7 night stay during the summer months, being Saturday-Saturday. Both located on Orr's Island, one of the beautiful peninsulas in Harpswell, Maine~
1st property : What sets "Epilogue" apart from other new rentals ?? This elite two- level home is newly constructed, and is situated on Orr's Island with spectacular ocean views ! Everything in the home is new from the furniture to the beds, as well as appliances ~ "Epilogue" runs efficiently with a heat pump which will delight you with air conditioning throughout the home, as well as heating !
The main floor offers an open design, including one bedroom, king size bed, (with a desk for those working remotely) , full bath, comfortable living room, and dining area. The first floor also contains a five star kitchen equipped with all new appliances, along with everything you would find in your own kitchen , as well as a bar style counter, alongside a 4 seater round table suitable for those casual meals ~ All of which serving you glorious views of the ocean! The Living Room provides a comfortable sectional couch with a large screen TV, (cable & Roku) along with a cozy propane fireplace for chilly evenings on the island ! The dining table is large enough to seat 6, with ocean views.
The upper level presents 2 bedrooms, the master, with a king size bed, the other a queen size bed, along with spacious closets and a full bath. Sleeps 6, and is absolutely perfect for up to 3 couples, or 3 singles looking for a premier adult getaway ~ There is also a trail alongside of the property which leads to the rocky/sandy shoreline for those who wish to go exploring without leaving the premises !
2nd property: "Footnote" is an ideal quintessential 1920's Maine cottage located on Orr's Island. presenting stunning ocean views and breathtaking sunsets. Orr's Island is a gem of Harpswell, one of the most beautiful , quaint towns along the Maine coast. The feeling upon entering the cottage will leave you feeling the true tranquility you're searching for! Plan to relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the cottage and of course its glorious deck!
The kitchen and bathroom have been carefully renovated and fully updated while maintaining the true charm of the cottage. The feeling upon entering through the screened in porch will leave you feeling the true tranquility you're searching for !
The cottage will sleep 4, as it features 2 inviting bedrooms. One with a queen size bed, while the other conveniently has 2 twin beds. You'll enjoy a comfortable living room, with a large screen TV, (cable and Roku, and of course Wi-Fi) as well as a small sitting area, also with a couch. Perfect for curling up with a good book ! The new, fully equipped kitchen will have everything you need for a comfortable stay including all new appliances. From the kitchen, you will walk out on to the inviting deck to enjoy the impressive views as well as the lovely patio furniture put in place. This cottage is the perfect balance of well maintained beauty from the past, and the modernization of today. There's also a trail alongside of the property leading down to the rocky/sandy shoreline. The only amenity you will not find here is a washer or dryer. (Who wants to do laundry on vacation ??!!)
The two homes are located close to Brunswick, where you will find grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Brunswick is also home of Bowdoin College, Maine State Music Theater, as well as museums to explore. On Orr's Island , it's just a short hop to seafood restaurants , kayak rentals, trails, mini beaches, and even a candy shop ! You are only a short distance from Freeport, (home of L.L. Bean, and many outlet shops), Portland, Bath, Boothbay, Bar Harbor ~ many enjoyable day trips to be had !
