2 Bedroom Cottage in Somers
This adorable two bedroom one bath cottage (built in 1925) has incredible views over looking Somers Bay (Flathead Lake) and is nestled among several large pine trees and shrubs. This cottage is a step back in time when life was much slower. The Cottage is located at the end of a private two home driveway. The property was purchased by the present owners in fall of 2016 and underwent a complete remodel and restoration. Every attempt was made to keep the Old Mountain feel.
Although we have taken great pains to preserve the quaint ambiance of an old Montana getaway, we do regret to say it does have central heat, an air conditioner, a Samsung Smart Television, ROKU, DVD and WiFi. Also, there is a washer and dryer, stove, microwave, fridge, and oh yes, even, hot and cold running water.
Please note: Sadly, this adorable cottage's back yard is next to our 2 lane highway (which actually isn't as busy as most city streets). Although a 6 foot fence surrounds the property, there is still some vehicle noise. It isn't super loud but we are now providing ear plugs for people who want them.
Bedrooms: Larger bedroom has a king bed, smaller bedroom has a queen bed. The living room has a queen size Murphy bed.
Bathroom: There is a tub/shower (backed by full size hot water heater). In the cabinets you will find bath towels (please use only inside cottage), beach towels (for the boat or beach), facial tissue and toilet paper.
Kitchen: All the basics are provided (pots pans, dishes, flatware, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, and dish soap). Please leave whatever you use clean and put away or in the dish drainer. For your convenience we provide all of the paper products to make your vacation convenient and comfortable (paper towels, napkins, plates, and plastic silverware kitchen garbage bags and some large trash bags) (please keep property clean of trash). Trash cans are located in garage.
Enclosed Side Porch: The porch is enclosed and is where the washer and dryer are located. The breakfast nook is a nice place for your first cup of coffee. There is a convenient pass through counter from the kitchen.
Front Porch: Large covered front porch over looks Somers Bay, boat launch, swim beach and our adorable islands. Enjoy the view in the comfortable wicker furniture.
Side Deck: Features a large stainless gas barbeque, patio table that seats 6 and an umbrella (although this deck is shaded by one of the largest trees in the neighborhood). The side yard is fenced and has nice views of the lake.
Fishermen: We provide the current Montana Fishing Regulations. Upon request we will provide fishing rods and tackle. Under 12 no license required. There is a fishing charter that can pick you up from the Somers Bay Public Dock.
Historic Downtown Somers: is just down the road. Downtown consists of Somers Bay Café (best food around), Del’s Bar & Grill (best beer & pizza), the old Sliter’s Historic Hardware Store, post office, our old locomotive, and a hiking trail with public rest rooms.
