Summary: I wanted to love this hotel, especially after all of the positive reviews. And seeing as though it has such a high rating. But my stay was just so-so. I realize these are first world problems, but I had paid for an upgraded room to have a better view, though at no point during check-in was I informed that painting was taking place and the windows were covered with tarps during my entire stay. I was not offered a refund for the extra fee I had paid. The bed and pillows were absolutely Heavenly, but what other reviews have failed to mention is how small the rooms are. This wouldn’t be an issue, except the beds are standard size, which left hardly any room to walk around with ease. My shins are all bruised up from this. The staff though, they were incredible and so very friendly and helpful.
