Enjoy this tastefully furnished 3 bedroom 3 bath home single story home built at ground level with no steps to climb. The home is located between Gulf Shores beaches and historic Fairhope. Shopping is nearby and restaurants are plentiful. The sugar white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico ( Gulf Shores ) are just 20 minutes with two of the Gulf coast's best restaurants just minutes away. You can drive to surrounding cities such as New Orleans , Mobile , Pensacola , Mississippi casinos , Destin , Fort Morgan, or Dauphin Island for interesting day trips. There are also tour buses that make day trips to the casinos.
The home has one of the best inshore fishing piers in the Northern Gulf area. It extends 240' into the bay and has a large covered gazebo and boathouse. Many of the local fishing guides bring their clients around the pier targeting flounder,speckled trout, red fish, mullet and many other inshore species. The natural flow of water from the tides and the two fresh water rivers (Magnolia and Fish rivers) brings the shrimp and other bait fish right by this pier. There are also oyster beds in close proximity that add to the fishery. The home is less than a 1/4 of a mile from a former World renowned Tarpon fishing lodge that attracted guests from afar in the early 1900's (there is an exhibit at the Weeks Bay interpretive center (brochure (PDF) - Weeks Bay Foundation.
