Positive: Dung lai is a very sweet little hotel, and a bit out of the main town, which was perfect because it was a lot quieter. It’s also very close to one of the docks, if you're interested in taking any of the tours. While it’s not a luxury option, it’s very nice, clean, and comfortable. The beds are a bit hard, but that’s typical for asia. The lighting could definitely use a change. It's either crazy bright or too dim to see anything. The pot lights are very intense. There’s a mini fridge and a smart TV, but no safe in the room. A/C worked well. The bathroom’s a bit small, but fine; the shower has good pressure and consistent temperature. As with every hotel bathroom, it could use more hooks! There was shampoo, conditioner, body wash, but no lotion (which is typical for asia). The breakfast was simple and good quality - everything you need: coffee or tea, juice, fruit, and then choice of eggs and toast, or pho. This hotel also has good views of the bay, and is within walking distance of some nice lookouts. We’d highly recommend the bioluminescent plankton tour run by blue swimmers just down the road from the hotel. It was absolutely amazing to see the blue lights in the water. You could see the schools of plankton swimming here and there. When you dipped your hand in the water, it looked like blue sparkles were all over it. Very cool experience.
