The Pond House was built in 1999 as an elevated round house on stilts. It overlooks the waterway that connects with Hamlin Lake and weaves around the surrounding forests, swamps and marshes. Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter and I took a road-trip through the state and "The Pond House" was definitely our favorite location we stayed at. It was a beautiful little hideaway with modern amenities and a great location for going to the gorgeous nearby beaches and parks. It does have lake access that we used to go out on the kayak and throw some lines in the water. The inside was very clean and unfortunately the lawn care service came while we were there. I say "unfortunately" because the mower kicked up a rock while going over the property and spider webbed my back panel window. The property manager was very gracious about covering the cost of the window without any hesitation and this only makes me want to return and spend a full vacation at the property!I would definitely recommend this spot to my sister's family of 4 (5 and 7 year old) as it would be a perfect set-up for them!
