Canasvieiras Beach, or Canasvieiras resort, becomes, during the summer, one of the busiest destinations on the island. It is located in the northern region, between Praia de Jurerê and Praia da Cachoeira do Bom Jesus. The calm waters and infrastructure of the region make Canasvieiras a place to go for a walk with family or friends.
It is the Florianópolis beach preferred by tourists in the north of the island. During the high season, Canasvieiras becomes a true beach resort for Argentine, Uruguayan and Paraguayan families and young people. Because of this, many establishments offer bilingual services, and it is not even difficult to find Argentine newspapers. On the streets, signs written in Spanish and vendors risking the language are common.
The Hercílio Luz Airport is located in the south of the island, in the Carianos neighborhood, just 33.2 km from Canasvieiras. The main Brazilian and Mercosur airlines operate at the airport, among them Tam, Gol and Azul.
As soon as you arrive at the airport, you will find taxis, a car rental agency (direct with the company aeaboutiquetravel), city and executive bus stops.
By bus
All road transport buses with lines to Florianópolis go to the Terminal de Rodoviário Rita Maria, which is right in the center of the city, just 25.8 km from Canasvieiras. For commuting, there are transfer services and taxis at the exit of the bus station, if you prefer, there is also the option of taking public transport, through Ticen - Centro Integration Terminal, which is approximately 150 meters from the bus station.
By car
Both for those coming from the North and for those coming from the South, the main access route is the BR-101. For those coming from the West, the ideal is to take the BR-282. When arriving at the Island, cross the Pedro Ivo Campos Bridge and take the lane on the right, going around the entrance loop and follow the lane that indicates “Av. Beira Mar”, heading towards it.
After this route, follow the avenue until you reach Exit II, passing over the Vilson Kleinubing Elevator, which gives access to the SC-401 Highway. Afterwards, just turn right and reach the SC-401 highway, on which you will pass through the Cacupé and Sambaqui returns where you can see a deactivated toll booth and the beautiful beaches of Jurerê and Ingleses. Go straight ahead until you reach the Canasvieiras interchange.
