Summary: Curb appeal was not great. Upon first sight of the property my husband asked “ Is that where we are staying? It looks abandoned” The yard was a mess with garbage in the driveway. Speaking of garbage the host messaged me when we were on our trip requesting me to take the garbage to the curb. The house inside was nice but not well cleaned, we had to wash the table, dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher, when my daughter dropped one of her toy under the couch it was lost forever because there was no way anyone was fishing after it, there was also garbage under the beds. A day before check in the hosts sent a message complete with house rules and cleaning instructions, and threats of extra charges if the tasks are not done. After seeing the cleanliness of the house I can’t help but think the prior person didn’t follow the instructions. I understand the hosts are on vacation and probably have a company coming in to do the cleaning, but when I booked an extra charge of 56$ for cleaning fees was added. It would be nice to stay in a clean location that I don’t have to stress about needing to clean better then I found it, to avoid extra charges. Another added note is that the add states that it sleeps 8 the only way this would happen is if 4 of the people are smaller and sleeping on the couches.
