Welcome to Hafod Grove, a delightful period gentleman's residence set in over an acre of private grounds. Rural and Coastal views. Gorgeous sandy beaches nearby with rockpools and caves to explore. Ideal for large groups and families Hafod Grove sleeps 18 (- 26 guests.please enquire).
Ideal for seaside holidays and breaks, celebratory weekends and short breaks the House is comfortably furnished for 18 guests in 6/7 bedrooms. The House is interesting expecially for children as it has a main staircase as well as servants stairs so rainy day hide and seek is a favourite.
PLEASE NOTE THAT A WEEKEND AT HAFOD GROVE HOUSE IS FROM 4PM FRIDAY - 3PM SUNDAY which saves paying for an extra night or rushing off early,
Please note that a weekend at Hafod Grove normally commences at 4pm on Friday and ends at 3pm on Sunday which allows guests to have a lie-in and Sunday Lunch without paying for an extra night.
The Huge kitchen dining room seats 24 guests comfortably on 2 large kitchen tables, this is ideal for get togethers and celebrations. There are two large reception rooms (although one can double as a bedroom if necessary) with Open Fires and a smart tv and an untuneable piano!
Outside there is seating on large picnic benches for alfresco dining and BBQs. In winter there are roaring open fires and the Aga. There is unlimited heating and wifi as well as Sky TV. There are swings in the garden for children and lots to explore.
Previous guests have swum in the Devils Cauldron which is a short way from Ceibwr along the World Famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Lots of local sports and activies including, walking and hiking the Preseli Mountains and famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, horse riding, hacking, beach and mountain rides. Coasteering at our local beauty spot; Ceibwr Bay, just over a mile from the House. Surfing, swimming, fishing (sea and fresh water) Kyaking, archery, clay pigeon shooting, tennis and golf (we have very local courses).
Ideal for nature lovers and artists, unusual and rare sea creatures can be spotted from the cliffs at Ceibwr including seals, dolphins, basking sharks, porpoises and even the occassional whale. There are several local boat trips to enjoy. The hedgerows and local countryside are full of interesting wildlife and flowers.
Popular days out are visits to Oakwood Theme Park with many thrilling rides as well as lots to entertain the tots. Folly Farm is also a big favourite with it's combination of exotic animals including Lions and Giraffes outdoor rides and climbing frames as well as an indoor fairground for wet days.
There are lots of local days out including within a short drive including; Castel Henllys (Iron Age Fort), The Shire Horse Farm, Cardigan Island, Kilgerran Castle and Wildlife Centre, Cardigan Town is an interesting place with numerous bars and restaurants, interesting shops and of course the Castel. Local bluestone and the famous Pentre Ifan prehistoric burial site there are several Cromlech and Stone Circles as well as the quarry where stones from stonehenge originated from at Brynberian. Many other places of historical interest to explore.
For tourists the location is ideal for exploring the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Cardiganshire and Carmarthanshire. There are many interesting days out to enjoy such as a visit to St Davids, which has the smallest Cathedral in the UK. Or a trip further North to explore the picturesque Georgean town of Aberaeron.
