Summary: This apartment is in a great location on Main Street. There are a dozen places to eat within a 5 or 10 minute walk. If you’re looking for an alternative to a motel, this is a good option. It’s large and bright, and the kitchen is nicely outfitted. They have all the things you need to cook as well as extra toothpaste and other niceties. There is no washer or dryer, if that’s important to you. The bed has a foam mattress and was very comfortable. I have just 2 concerns. First, the road noise on Main Street can be annoying. I slept alright, but if you’re a light sleeper, it might be an issue. I think the same people offer an apartment that faces away from the street that is probably quieter. Also, there was a smell in the apartment when I arrived that I wrote to property manager about. I opened the windows and the smell went away mostly, but the manager never acknowledged my message. I don’t know if that is normal for them, but I would have liked to have tried to have gotten rid of the smell altogether. In the end the smell wasn’t bad, once I aired the place out. This is a good alternative to a motel room, though the VRBO fee and cleaning fee make it more expensive for a short stay.
