Positive: The location is excellent it is in a very nice part of Ho Chi Minh City and alongside the very beautiful Central Park. However if looking gor more traditional local stores and markets they are not in this area. There are a lot of ATMs and western stores around the accommodation. The Host lady is very lovely although she pretty much only speaks Vietnamese so needed to use Google translator The apartment is very clean and organised.

Negative: IMPORTANT TO NOTE FOR WESTERNERS: We only stayed one night instead of 4 nights as once we arrived, we realised the apartment is a shared accommodation situation. The is the hosts home and she is having people stay in her home. You will have your own bedroom and full use of the apartment, but sharing with the Host in her home. She will be sleeping in the second bedroom. This is NOT what we expected, and it was not clearly outlined in the description. In fact the description clearly stated the whole apartment. When we asked about this, we were told it is written in Vietnamese in the title. We translated the title, but the translation says she lives next door. So we had no idea we would be sharing the accommodation. For this reason we decided to shorten our stay. Should also point out there is a surveillance camera in the lounge, which we were certainly not comfortable with. Also the description says we have full use of the on site pools however it turns out that access to the pools is restricted to the owner and accessible only by fingerprint scan. So if we wished to go swimming, we had to have the owner take us and get access each time. So this put is off as we would like to come and go from the pool as we desire. If this had all been clearly stated, we would not have booked. However for some folk this may be exactly what you are looking for. Having said all the above the Host was gracious and refunded our nights. we were not staying, and we got alternate accommodation.
