2 Bedroom Cottage in Village of La Jolla, San Diego
La Reinita translates as 'The Queen'. And a Queen it is. Built on a hill overlooking the pacific it was one of the first homes built in La Jolla by the first village's doctor. But please don't get the idea that it is old, on the contrary, it is very new inside with an up to date kitchen and modern comfy furniture. It is where historic and zen come together.
You enter the cottage property through a wrought iron gate past a small office building. An outdoor seating area and a hot tub greet you in the backyard.
As you enter the cottage you are greeted by hardwood floors, panoramic ocean views, and a wonderful living room. There is a brand new sofa bed plus two new chairs - 2024 upgrades - in the living room that are directed towards a large mounted TV that sits above an electric fireplace. Two additonal chairs are set up for ocean viewing and reading.
To the right, as you enter the cottage, is the kitchen and dining area that seats four. A large window with a kitchen nook is the perfect spot to look out on the lawn with beautiful gardens. The motif is black and white with all up to date appliances and is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and even wine glasses!
On the far side of the living room to the right is the master bedroom. Very cozy with a queen size bed, an attic with extra storage, and a full bath room.
To the left of the living room is an outside deck with ample seating, patio umbrella, fire pit, and a hot tub. All of which can be enjoyed with a beautiful ocean view.
By the door that takes you to the deck is a spiral staircase leading to a second downstairs bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom. A washer and dryer is just around the corner.
The colors are white beige and blue making it very cottage like but with a strong Zen feel of peace and comfort and tranquility.
The home can sleep 5 max. including kids.
Rental includes 1 free reserved parking spot located in the garage next door, a coveted amenity in this area. Please note that you will need the parking fob to enter and exit the parking garage to avoid being charged.
The cottage has a yard. The seating/bbq/hot tub areas are in the back side of the yard, next to the cottage, and are for the use of the cottage guests. Vendors - gardeners, hot tub cleaners- will have access to the yard when necessary. There is also a deck attached to the front commercial building. That deck is for the use of the commercial builiding tenants. To access the deck they need to go through the iron entrance gate and the front side of the yard. For these reasons guests that bring dogs will be asked to keep them on a leash when out in the yard.
Once a Reservation is made Guest will receive our standard Rental Agreement, this will need to be reviewed, signed, and sent back to us.
The house is pet friendly, please inquire first about bringing your pet.
2024 upgrades include, new sofa beds and living room chairs, new dinning set, new outdoor patio set, and new refrigerator.
