The little village of Vogelsang lies nestled in a rolling hilly landscape, without through traffic, away from the mass tourism of the major Baltic Sea towns. Even so, it is only about 20 minutes by car to the seaside towns Rerik and Kühlungsborn. The old Hanseatic towns Rostock and Wismar are within easy access, as well as the regional capital Schwerin.
Welcome to our holiday apartment furnished and fitted with great attention to detail. Its 70m² provide everything you need for a comfortable stay by the Baltic sea. The apartment is on two floors. The lower floor comprises an open kitchen, a comfortable sitting corner, a bathroom and a separate WC. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for self-catering. In summer you can have breakfast on the terrace and in winter site by the warm fireplace. The upper floor, the attic, is ideal for dreaming. It has an open sleeping area with a big double bed and a bedroom with two beds, ideal for children. Families with children are welcome. We can provide a highchair, bottle warmer, changing mat and toys. One of the single beds can be secured with bars and a gate can be fitted to the lower end of the stairs. The price includes bed linen, towels (changed weekly), electricity and water costs, as well as firewood for the fireplace.
There is an atelier on site, where you can get to know ancient crafts and book a forging course, also a special experience for children and a popular among guests on a rainy day.
The nearest shopping facilities are in Neubukow, a pretty little town 8km away with all everyday essentials such as supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, ATMs and bicycle hire (delivery to the apartment possible). It is easy to get to Rerik and Kühlungsborn by the Baltic Sea by car. The island Poel with its wide sandy beaches is also worth a trip. Those who prefer getting around by bike can set out on wonderful cycle tours from Vogelsang. You can cycle along idyllic field tracks to the Salzhaff, a sea bay by the Baltic Sea whose beach is especially popular among families, as children can paddle in the flatly shelved water. The old Hanseatic towns Wismar and Rostock are easy to get to, as well as the regional capital Schwerin. You can visit the Wonnemar leisure pool on rainy days or sit in one of the many cafes. Rostock with its seaside Warnemünde invites you to go shopping and for a stroll and in Schwerin you can visit the romantic fairytale castle. A visit to Rostock zoo is also recommended.
