This exclusive holiday villa is located right on the beach in Matemwe on the East coast of Zanzibar with stunning views over the Indian Ocean. It is the perfect accomodation if you are looking for a private holiday rental villa in Zanzibar.
The two-storey holiday villa offers luxurious comfort and total privacy. It is fully equipped and serviced and plenty amenities are available making it the perfect holiday rental villa for families and friends looking for privacy and comfort away from the crowds.
It was recently built in East African style with an impressive thatch roof. It sleeps up to 14 persons, there are 4 large air-conditioned bedrooms with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms and one large air-conditioned suite with two king-size beds, en-suite bathroom and private terrace. Two extra single beds can be put in any of the rooms.
The large living room is tastefully furnished and decorated. On one side there is a lounge area with satellite TV and DVD, a large sofa and lounge chairs allow you to relax and chill out with a view over the Ocean and the garden. On the other side there is a large dining table, in between there is a large open bar where you can enjoy evening drinks with open views on the lagoon and the Indian ocean.
The villa has 4 dining areas, one outside on the sundeck next to the pool to enjoy a sunrise breakfast overlooking the private beach and the lagoon, one directly on the private beach (the ideal place for bbq's), one inside on the ground floor of the villa and there is an additional large dining and lounge area on the first floor under the Makuti roof with a 270 degrees view on the ocean and the jungle behind the house.
There is a library, a games room with pool table, Satellite TV and DVD, Internet, etc. Linen and towels provided. Highchair. A large capacity generator is available to cover up for eventual power failures.
The holiday villa is situated in a large tropical garden (ca. 10,000m²) with palm trees, oriental fruits and flowers. The garden is very well maintained and used as a showcase for new gardening projects in hotels and resorts in Zanzibar. It features a large swimming pool (5x10m) with shallow end and wide stairs ideal for children. A large sundeck surrounds the pool and there are two more decks, one in the garden and one on the private beach. In front of the pool there is a private beach (ca. 80 meters wide) connecting directly to the lagoon and the Indian Ocean.
The Villa is rented on an exclusive basis and features a private beach and private pool, direct ocean access, a powerboat and sailing boat, a large tropical garden, games room, library and professional staff including a chef and two maids who will do all the house keeping including setting and cleaning the tables, cleaning the house, doing your laundry, dishwashing, providing towels etc. - the staff are there to make sure you can relax and enjoy your holidays, they are fluent in English and are trained to give you comfort and privacy.
The cook is an excellent chef who can prepare any dish you like, from local and traditional dishes to Asian and Western dishes. For the amateur cooks he will gladly organize cooking lessons with traditional dishes and local spices which Zanzibar is famous for. We are totally flexible for the catering arrangements. We can provide you with a shopping list so you can do your own shopping before arriving at the Villa or we can have your selection delivered to the house. We can also organize catering formula's such as breakfast only, Half Board, Full Board, All In etc.
The boat is included in the rental rate but the fuel consumed and the skipper fee are charged extra. The skipper will take you out for trips with the boat in and beyond the lagoon, the gardener takes care of the pool and garden and our watchman will ensure your comfortable and safe night rest. The House Manager will welcome you upon arrival and show you the house and all amenities, she will be available throughout your stay to assist with catering, shopping, excursions, translation, local events etc.
Around the Villa you can walk for miles along the white beaches and enjoy watching the fishermen coming in with their fresh catch or you can visit the school and fish market in one of the nearby villages. You can go fishing and snorkeling with our boat around Mnemba Island or you can embark on an early morning fishing trip with the local fishermen. We can organize deep sea fishing as well as diving and kite surfing, our House Manager will gladly assist you with reservations or bookings.
There are several bars and restaurants (no large resorts) within walking distance from the Villa along the beach.
Zanzibar has a rich cultural heritage and amazing fauna and flora, our House Manager will gladly organize excursions to Stone Town, Joziani Park, Chumbe Island or even assist you with booking a safari, a visit to one of the National Parks or why not climb Kilimanjaro. The most beautiful beaches of Zanzibar are found on the East coast of the Island at Matemwe, a charming and pitoresque fishermen village some 50 km from the capital and airport.
Enjoy the white pristine beaches stretching for miles to both sides of the Villa, you can go for endless walks along the beach of visit the nearby villages, coffee plantations or spice farms.
