Our essence was born in 1956 with a small grocery store and a friendly 2-room guest house. Essence that we try to show affection in the creative recycled decoration of the hotel. Positive: Good location, comfortable and pleasant

Negative: At checkout, I was not permitted to pay in USD as I was supposed to with the price and currency in the booking. Instead I was told I would be given the exchange rate of 10:1 instead of the market rate of 6.9:1. Only after insisting on speaking to the owner of the hotel was I able to negotiate a rate of 7:1. Attempted daylight robbery!

Summary: Nice hotel but a currency exchange scam spoilt the experience
