Positive: The house is in a perfect location, right on a quiet beach (but it was June, so not yet high season). It’s just a 5-minute drive from the airport and the main town, with supermarkets and tavernas close by. Parts of the house are being renovated, and the first floor already looks great. We also loved the thoughtful extras like the indoor and outdoor Bluetooth speaker, plenty of bottled water, some alcohol, and useful toiletries like hair oil and makeup remover pads. The staff member was really friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and boat tours. She also arranged a taxi for us, which was very helpful.
Negative: As I already mentioned, the house is currently being renovated, so many areas are still not in great condition. The lower level, in particular, felt quite worn, and unfortunately not everything was clean, for example, there were lipstick marks on some glasses, cobwebs in the bathroom, and the downstairs toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned. It also wasn’t clear from the photos that the house consists of two separate units, which are only connected via an outdoor public path. Since the house is right on the beach, the lower part had a musty smell when we arrived. It did improve after a day of airing out, but this could have been done before our arrival. The room with the bunk beds was furnished very plainly, and the bedrooms varied quite a bit in terms of comfort and amenities. This meant we had to compromise within our group, which was disappointing, especially since the website advertises the house as a luxury property. Apart from the newly renovated section, the rest didn’t really live up to that claim.
