Summary: Spending two nights at Kananga Special Tented Camp was the most incredible experience. Waking up in the Serengeti and seeing the sun start to rise was so special. My daughter and I did a self drive and the tips given to us by the managers John Shana and Mohamed were very useful. All of our meals were prepared by Chef William with careful attention to our likes/allergies. Emanuel was our waiter who would even bring us tea after a days' drive so we could enjoy the view of the Serengeti from outside of our tent. Abel, Stephen, and Boniface were our room attendants. They brought us hot water for the shower system as well as in the morning to use in an outdoor water stand to wash our face. We both felt close to nature but extremely well taken care of; our car was even washed everyday! The tents are even more beautiful than in the pictures on this website. If you are looking for a tent experience, stay here. Most of the names of the staff I knew, but when I left, I asked the manager for the other names I couldn't remember because as a group this amazing team of people gave us a vacation to remember. I can't wait to return to this amazing place!!
