Summary: According to the pictures and reviews, this house looked perfect for us. When we arrived, all of my guests were in awe. From the outside, the house was picture perfect. We were met by the House Manager, Miss Kelly, who seemed very nice. but never showed us around which I thought was weird. She introduced us to some of the staff: Chef, Debbie & Michelle. The backyard was a major DISAPPOINTMENT. All of the lounge chairs were broken and had a cheap padding on top to cover them up. I was told new ones are on ordered so that's great for the next guests! Most of the tiles were broken which was a trip hazard. The hot tub water was cold, and the pool water was cloudy the whole time we were there and when I addressed this issue, Niko said he had to shock it after the last guests. The pool water was freezing and mainly in the shade in the afternoon, so most of us didn't swim. There is a pile of trash just beyond the bar which is an eye sore. Then there is the tennis court that is unusable and another eye sore from the backyard. The House Manager was useless and would show up on her own time for a few minutes. None of the hairdryers worked in the bathrooms so you'll need to bring your own. When plugging in your cell phones to charge, you'll have to hunt for an electrical outlet that works. Most outlets in the bedrooms don't work. My sister had to use the outlet in the hall outside her bedroom to charge her cell phone. The main master suite bathroom, does not have hot water but had good water pressure. Some of the showers only had a stream of water and one leaked so badly around the tub, they used all their towels to soak up the water. The website advertises a clothes dryer, but there is no dryer. We enjoyed hanging around the bar, but the view of the tennis court and pile of trash seemed like we rented a house in an impoverished area. The ice machine doesn't work and there is no cooler, so we had to walk to the kitchen to get ice every time we made a drink. The beach is NOT across the street unless you walk through a private yard. It is a long 10 minute walk. They will try and charge you for beach chairs, but the Villa gets 3 for free. It's not a handicap accessible home. They will put ramps up, but there is no walk-in shower on the main level. The Chef, Ansel, was Outstanding. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Barrington was available to me prior, during and after booking which I appreciated very much.
