Positive: Beautifully peaceful location ( but beware, there are no facilities at all in this village or in walking distance). Prettily presented with all that one needs. A good wide and comfortable kingsized bed. Great little coffee machine. We appreciated the fact that kitchen basics such as dishwashing soap, cooking oil, vinegar, coffee, tea etc. had been left: Because of its remote location, this is definitely a place where you need to prepare some of your own food and drinks, one cannot walk out to a cafe. Beautiful grand church in the village and extremely friendly villagers.

Negative: I needed to contact the host during the day prior to my arrival in order for the door access to be given but i was travelling all day and had no data roaming so it caused considerable stress and difficulty for us to sort out the messaging; this spoiled our day somewhat. The property has no access to garden or outdoor space ( although there is a bit of public green space across the road) The downstairs floors are cold so use slippers. Although the place was generally clean and nicely presented, the floors had not been mopped thoroughly and there was quite some dust under the main bed. It took us 24hrs to find tea towels (kitchen pot drying towels), none had been left and for the first evening we had to dry pots with a microfibre cleaning cloth. I eventually found them tucked out of sight underneath spare bedding on the bottom shelf of a wardrobe..

Summary: A lovely little cottage, good for a peaceful couple of days.
