Lakeside Getaway is a waterfront property on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, only 1 hour north of Sydney. Relax in a quiet neighborhood, and take in the view, especially the sunsets over the lake with the mountains in the distance. Enjoy the comforts of a modern home with open plan living and a 15 meter long balcony where you can entertain outdoors while taking in the lake views. Shops are a 2-minute drive away.
Our home is not a party house, and the property is all nonsmoking.
The space
Welcome to Lakeside Getaway where you can enjoy the spectacular lake views from both inside and outside the home.
Relax on the balcony or in the electric reclining chairs in the lounge room or enjoy water activities on the lake. The waterfront reserve just in front of the house provides opportunities for playing lawn games, or fishing from the shore.
A popular fishing spot is the CRU Lake Mac baths, only 400 metres away along the waterfront reserve.
If cooking is your thing, you can do that in the modern, well-equipped kitchen with numerous cooking appliances. We have provided a Nespresso coffee pod machine and will supply you with a starting pack until you can purchase your own pods from Coles, which is only a 2-minute drive away.
If you prefer cooking outside, there is an outdoor kitchen with a 4-burner barbecue, side burner and a sink. One section of the BBQ has a tub where you can store your drinks in ice.
The study could well have the best view of any home office in the country! Enjoy the expansive ever-changing view while you 'work'! There is plenty of desk workspace for 2 people to use at once.
About the House:
Bedrooms:
The master bedroom has a king size adjustable bed along with an ensuite and an amazing view to wake up to. There is a smart TV mounted on the wall.
Guest bedroom 1 has a king size bed and ensuite, and a sitting area with views out to the lake. A TV is situated in the wardrobe and there is a small kitchenette just near the bedroom.
There are two other bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the other with two single beds. Both of these have easy access to a 3-way bathroom.
There are wardrobes and plenty of storage for your belongings in all of the bedrooms.
Hotel quality linen is provided.
Living and dining room:
The open plan living space has an 8-place dining table, 8 electric recliners and an electric piano.
The entertainment system includes a 65" smart TV, surround sound system, DVD player and a PVR along with an Apple TV device. Access to streaming services is available with your own login and include Netflix, Netflix, Disney+, Prime video, Stan, Binge and Kayo..
Laundry:
In the downstairs laundry there is a front loader washing machine and an automatic clothes dryer.
Guest access
Prior to your arrival, you will be provided with a 4-digit access code that you can use for the duration of your stay. You will have access to the whole house, except for the garage. There is a double carport (providing your vehicle is not more than 1.9 m tall) and there is also space for another 2 vehicles in the driveway.
Other things to note.
** Please note that this is our family home, and we have great neighbours. Parties, bucks and hens nights, schoolies and loud music are not permitted and will not be tolerated.
Sorry, but there is no provision for pets in this house.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Water sports:
We have four 2½ seat sit on fishing kayaks for you to use while staying at Lakeside Getaway. There are more than enough lifejackets for 8 adults to use. The lake is an awesome place for kayaking. Why not bring along your fishing tackle and go fishing in the kayaks, rather than being limited to fishing on the shoreline!

You understand that the use of kayaks is at your own risk and that unique risks may be involved with using the kayaks. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from use of the kayaks and hold the owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that the use of kayaks may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, or using the kayaks if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, or uses the kayaks while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences to those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the owner for accidents or claims arising from using the kayaks.
