This quaint and cozy cottage has all the amenities: air conditioning, stove, refrigerator, microwave, 7-cubic foot deep-freezer, internet wifi, cable TV, small library, small pantry, fish cleaning station.
It sleeps 2 adults; accommodations are one full-sized bed and extra cot in bedroom.
Clean linens, cookware, dishes and utensils, and a small pantry of basics are provided; two local laundromats are available. The cottage was entirely rebuilt in 2015 and is furnished vintage. Guests are asked to leave cottage as you found it.

Summary: My overall summary is that this isn't a "sterile" luxurious cottage stay, but it is very adequate and very affordable compared to other options. To start, I rented because I needed a place to stay for a 1 month job with the ODNR and I was traveling with my 30 lb dog. All the other comments pretty much prepare you for this property. It is by no means the most luxurious place you will ever stay. That being said I always had hot water and could cool/heat the cabin to the right temp and could prepare my own meals and never had electricity or internet issues and had a roof over my head, privacy, and autonomy: things that I would not have necessarily had at an equivalently-priced long-stay hotel. I was able to have my dog with me, with no fear of a cleaning lady coming in and distressing her in her crate during the day. I took off a star because it was definitely man-clean. It wasn't dirty but it also wasn't spotless. I would also be wary/aware of renting during warmer weather as I had some issues with carpenter ants in the trash. But, I knew after 3 minutes in the cottage that this could be an issue (the cottage doesn't have a "tight" seal, cracks between door and frame and "leaky" windows) and wasn't super surprised, so I just modified my trash/waste management/dog food situation and then didn't have many more problems (But it was super cold for April, so that might have also been what caused part of the declines.) The neighborhood was fine, the neighbors were friendly and positively-interacted with me when I walked the dog, and there was a 10-minute walk to the Mazurik public access where we could reach the lake and not be in a private marina. There was one "creepy old man" on the road just fyi for any other single-women renters, but he seemed relatively harmless. I did alter our walks to avoid him though. Oh, and if you really like cooking/baking the stove/pots and pans situation isn't awesome, but a trip to walmart and a skillet and baking sheet later and everything was okay. the oven was never really up for baking though... I could bake some vegetables/ meats though with little issue. And I do have to say, all of your basics: towels, soaps, paper products, cleaning products, toiletries were taken care of and that was a nice touch and affected my 4 star review.
