Welcome to Long Family Lake House. A charming 3 bedroom 2 bath lakefront home, DOES HAVE WiFi, wood floors, gas fireplace and steps out to the water make this the perfect getaway any time of year. Situated on a dead end street and quiet cove Waters Edge has something for everyone. There is easy parking for 2 standard cars just off street, gradual steps lead down to the home. It may seem like a lot, but it is worth the walk. Once you get to the home you realize just how close to the Waters Edge you really are. INCLUDED is use of two kayaks and two paddle boards.
Inside is a quaint kitchen with just enough room so you won't spend all day inside. The kitchen is open to the living room which is anchored by the large windows facing the lake and of course the rock fireplace with gas logs. HAS BOTH A KEURIG AND DRIP COFFEE MAKER. Just off the kitchen and living room are 2 main floor bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom features lake views, king bed, across the hall is a cozy bunk room with 2 sets of twin bunk beds for the kids to all hang out together. A completely remodeled guest bathroom with tub and shower finish out the main level.
A large deck is located just off the living room with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the lake views. Situated by the deck doors is the spiral staircase leading to the lower level. Once downstairs you are greeted by a well appointed nook with high top table for 2, TV, mini fridge and doors that lead to the lower level screened in porch. To the right of the stairs is the lower level guest bathroom with tub, shower, and stackable washer and dryer. To the left is the lower level guest bedroom with a queen bed and lake views.
There's plenty of outdoor space to hang out and enjoy the lake. You can choose from the roof top deck on the boat house or one of the other multiple decks. Is soaking up the sun closer to the water is more your style? Maybe you want to take the kayaks out for a spin. There's so much to do at Water's Edge Lake House!

VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum overnight occupancy limit for this home is 8 persons (including children over the age of. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. Contact your rental's property manager for offsite, overflow parking options. There is parking for 2 vehicles at this property
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids).
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, or any similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat. Fishing: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply. Boating: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be accessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door while smoking on property.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
Town Council has confirmed the drawdown schedule for 2023 and the plan is to begin lowering the lake on 1/1/23. The lake will be lowered about one (1) foot per day until the lake is twelve (12) feet below full pond (990.5 mean sea level). Lake levels will vary during the drawdown between (5) feet below full-pond and (12) feet below full-pond, depending on the work requirements of contractors. The Town will work as strategically and efficiently as possible during the lake drawdown periods. It is anticipated that the lake will begin refilling on 3/31/23.
