Situated in a stunning setting, surrounded by fields, this lovely farmhouse with 4 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, offers the complete package for your stay in the Lot Valley, The spacious property offers many character features along with modern conveniences. There is also the added bonus of all the amenities of the Bastide town of Cajarc being a short stroll away. Leave the car behind and walk to the many restaurants and bars of Cajarc.
On entering the house itself, either turn right into the original farmhouse through the very comfortable family room and into the fully fitted kitchen with new Falcon range....or turn left into a an amazing , beamed living/dining extension with glass doors opening to the garden. Enjoy beautiful views to Cajarc and the hills beyond. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two with air conditioning, providing comfort at night during the summer heat. The master bedroom is ensuite and opens onto a shaded terrace at the rear of the property, perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee looking out to the cliffs of the Causse. There are two additional modern bathrooms upstairs and another shower room on the ground floor.
Externally, the house stands in a large garden in a peaceful, private setting. It provides a very safe area for children to play. There are plenty of outside seating/eating areas to make the most of the countryside views. There is a BBQ area. There are two separate outbuildings, one containing the pool equipment / filter and workshop and the other containing laundry facilities. A new luxurious 9x5m alarmed pool provides relaxation and entertainment for all the family. The pool is for the exclusive use of guests.
It is an easy10 minute flat walk along a farm track into the town of Cajarc, where you will find over a dozen restaurants and bars open in the summer. There is also a small supermarket, patisseries, butchers, electric cycle rental, deli and a lovely weekly market in the town square. During the summer there are numerous activities including fetes, the Africajarc music festival, local concerts and shopping. Continuing through the town you reach the beautiful River Lot where there are water sports facilities and lovely walks along the river bank. During the warm evenings, next to the bridge, small restaurants and bars set up on the river bank which makes for a very atmospheric setting. Other useful town amenities include tennis courts, a very clean, modern community pool and a children's playground.
Further afield but not far away, there is much to discover and explore. St Cirque Lapopie, Figeac, Villefranche de Rourgue, Grottes de Peche Merle, Cahors, amongst many others. For more activities there is kayaking down the River Cele, farms to visit, river beaches with swimming, picnics and bike rentals.
