Tranquility and seclusion abounds in this beautiful, updated 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home located near both Rhinebeck and Red Hook NY, close to Bard, Omega Institute, and lots of shopping in downtown Rhinebeck and Red Hook! As soon as you pull into the long driveway through the woods you will feel like you've left your cares behind.
The home is meticulously maintained and has an updated kitchen and hardwood floors throughout. There are two master suites both with king beds and ensuite bathrooms as well as two additional bedrooms both outfitted with queen size beds.
The layout of the house is ideal for families and groups. The main floor has one master bedroom with a king bed that has a sliding glass door that leads to the wraparound deck. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms both with high ceilings and queen beds. These bedrooms share a full bathroom. There is another master suite on the other side of the house up a second set of stairs. This master suite has a very large full bathroom, a walk-in closet, a king size bed and a beautiful bay window that looks out to the yard and trees. From this window you can often see wild turkeys, deer and other animals.
The well-appointed kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and an island with stools. The open layout connects the kitchen to the great room which has a working wood burning fireplace and large, comfortable leather chairs.
The great room leads to the dining room which boasts a custom built wood dining table that comfortably sits 8 and a large bay window that looks out to the back yard. The buffet is where we store games and puzzles to keep all ages entertained.
The family room has a flat screen TV equipped with an Amazon Fire Cube for streaming apps and local news, bookshelves, a telescope and plenty of comfortable seating.
Soak your cares away in our brand new 6-7 person hot tub. Nestled in a serene outdoor setting, you can immerse yourself in the warm, bubbling waters while the crisp night air brushes against your face, and the stars overhead twinkle on clear nights. Just installed in 2023, this hot tub is the perfect way to soothe aching muscles from your hike or simply sit back and relax from your daily stresses.
Please note a security camera with motion flood lights is present in the driveway and faces the parking area for safety.
The home is set on 5 acres of wooded property, set far back from the road so you can fully enjoy your privacy. The winding, wooded driveway leads you to a set of stairs that brings you to the entrance of the house and a huge deck with several seating areas. In the yard we have a charcoal BBQ grill and adirondack chairs where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings. A trip wouldn't be complete without a game of horseshoes that you can play in the large yard area.
