Summary: Generally never heard anything from the host. They responded when I asked something, but there was no offer of hospitality beyond that. For the 30 days I booked, at a rate which was exceptionally high for Buenos Aires, and the fact that much of the unit is used for short term rentals, you would expect some hospitality, toilet paper refills, basic amenities, etc. Pros: * Building is nice for Buenos Aires. The facilities (pools, sauna, steam room) are well maintained and the building feels very safe. * Nice location in Palermo Hollywood, close to many excellent bars, restaurants, and cafes. * Internet worked 99% of the time I was there. Cons: * The school behind the building is incredibly loud during the day; often on weekend days too. It’s a school courtyard that acts as an echo chamber. You will hear this loudly in the unit. * Refrigerator has a constant pulsating sound that’s quite noticeable and every 4-6 hours lets out a big crack/bang sound; will wake you if you’re a light sleeper. * Couch is super cheap and you can feel wood planks when you sit; the cushions are cheap, chunky crushed foam that collapses when sat on. Same for all the furniture really; all the cheapest stuff you can get that looks OK in pictures. * Water flooded the bathroom from the unit above the day after I arrived. Fortunately the water in that unit was shut off, but the bathroom had brown water marks covering the walls and ceiling for the duration of my stay. As I considered whether to provide a…
