Mas de Comtessa is a large luxury country house with a pigeonnier, various outbuildings and a very large heated swimming pool on 4 hectares of private land. Mas de Comtessa has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a sixth bedroom with its own shower in the romantic pigeonnier. The house is suitable for 10 adults (12 with at least 2 children under 5 years old).
Interior
On the ground floor:
• A traditional dining room with a beautiful original tiled floor, a wood-burning stove and the original oak beams on the ceiling.
• A lounge with wood stove, comfortable chairs, TV/DVD/CD. You can enjoy the outdoors from the patio doors.
• A large bedroom with plenty of storage space, a luxurious en-suite bathroom. The bedroom has French doors to the tiled terrace.
• A separate cloakroom with toilet and sink adjacent to the entrance.
• The kitchen includes a beautiful handmade stone worktop and sink. Sufficient cupboard space, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and sufficient crockery and cutlery (a washing machine in the outbuildings) are of course available.
On the first floor:
• The first floor has a large landing with comfortable seating and access to four bedrooms.
• Second and third bedrooms (both with twin beds) share a luxurious en-suite bathroom/toilet.
• A fourth bedroom has a double bed with en-suite shower/double sink/WC.
• The fifth bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with en-suite shower/double sink/WC.
The Pigeonnier (the sixth bedroom)
• This beautiful building has been transformed into a romantic retreat. On the ground floor you will find tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge and bathroom with shower/toilet. On the 1st floor there is a double bedroom with a beautiful high oak beamed ceiling.
Outside
You reach the house and the pigeonnier via a long private driveway. Of course there is ample parking at the house. Mas de Comtessa is surrounded by rolling lawns and forest and you can enjoy the beautiful, large garden from your beautiful terrace. On the site you will also find an original bread oven, former stables and a beautiful pigeonnier covered in roses (the romantic house). Next to the tower is the ornamental garden and the 11.5m x 5m heated (from May to September) swimming pool with safety fence.
At the rear of the house you also have a nice terrace with a large dining table and chairs. Of course there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols by the pool. There is also a table tennis table, a jeu de boules court and a BBQ.
Environment
The area is very suitable for walking, cycling or horse riding at one of the many riding schools in the area. There are plenty of activities to do, such as canoeing on the Lot and the Cele, caving, golf on the public golf course in Villefranche de Rouergue, rowing and water skiing on the "plan d'eau" of Cajarc. In short, too many to mention.
