Positive: Staying in such an authentic, historic building was a fascinating experience for us, as we don't have this architectural style in our home country. While the house itself is ancient, the interior is perfectly modernized with a great bathroom and extremely comfortable beds (I suspect they might use memory foam and ergonomic pillows, though I forgot to ask the owner to confirm). The accommodation’s website is packed with great information about the local history and sights. On top of that, the owner is incredibly helpful and shares good recommendations. He speaks excellent English, which was a lifesaver since it’s easy to struggle in this region if you don’t speak French! The area is very quiet and offers free parking. We also highly appreciated their eco-friendly approach.
Negative: No real cats in the garden, which would have been nice (just joking!). Seriously though, everything was wonderful and we had a great time anyway.
