Positive: Stylish and well equipped apartment with all the mod cons in a beautiful old building, conveniently located by the bus stop for Borca Macugnaga, with wonderful walks right at the doorstep. The accommodation is very comfortable and relaxing both inside and outside in the garden, with sitting areas to enjoy the amazing views, and the flowers, fruits & vegetables the owners grow. Macugnaga is a magical place, just as we remembered from skiing here many years ago, as if time had stood still. The summer is perfect for walking, under sunny blue sky (apart from one day it rained during our stay), with snow capped mountain, rivers, lakes & waterfalls, as well as abundant flora & fauna, so much Macugnaga has to offer. Best of all, the host Daniella, she’s fluent in English so very easy to communicate with for us non Italian speakers. She’s so helpful and efficient, when we had problems with trains, buses, airport shuttles etc she sorted all out for us straight away after quick whatsup messages, which made our holiday so much more enjoyable without having to worry about all those things out of our control. She also made recommendations for walks, activities, restaurants etc, and made reservation for us, as well as booking reliable local taxis which made the evening outing in the rain went really smoothly. Whatever help you may need, she’s there for you, she’s simply a super woman!
